My why
I have spent years myself yo-yo dieting and having an unhealthy relationship with food. After dealing with this struggle for years, I decided I wanted to help others to never have to deal with the unhealthy relationships relating food, and teach them they can still get life changing results while eating the foods they LOVE and never have to restrict anything again!
WORLD CHAMPION POWERLIFTER
My love for weight training led me to powerlifting where I began training for my first competition in 2018. Deciding this is what I loved doing I became more dedicated to my training and made powerlifting apart of my life.
I am now a World Champion powerlifter, holding many World, British and Scottish Records.
I always strive to be the best in every aspect of my life and this shows through my training and lifestyle towards Powerlifting as well as my commitment to working with clients.
I then lost 6 stone going from that size 20 to a 8 and I now had a new love of everything fitness! Don’t get me wrong I had my ups and downs, faced a lot of hurdles along the way but my self drive and determination to be a better me kept me going!
I entered a bikini competition then switched over to powerlifting training and this has been my life since. From competing in my first ever competition in 2018 to now a World Champion powerlifter and the best female powerlifter in Scotland - I can finally say I’m proud of the hard work I put in to get to this point in my life.
This is why I decided to become a coach to teach others you can do this too! If I can do it, then anybody can do it with the right support.
Teaching people to learn how to lift weights, get strong, improve that relationship with food and show them they can still get lifelong lasting results whilst eating the foods they enjoy and having that odd drink at the weekends is what makes me love my job!
MY STORY
I have been through this whole process myself, so when I say I get it, I really do! Roll back to my early 20s I was living my best life out drinking every weekend, eating whatever I wanted and slowly but gradually the weight was piling on but I didn’t really notice too much at this point. I had tried different diets to lose weight, you name it I had probably done it but nothing was sustainable and the weight went right back on again!
Then I went travelling to Australia for 18 months again drinking a lot of wine, eating whatever I wanted and by this point I noticed my weight gain increasing a lot quicker. I remember coming home from Australia and nothing fitted me, I went shopping and had to buy a size 20! That was the turning point for me, how did I let myself get to this point where I was actually so embarrassed and uncomfortable about how I looked and felt in myself. At this point I decided this is where I change my life.
I hired myself a personal trainer, started counting calories and tracking all my food. This was a huge learning curve for me but I loved learning about the food, how it was fuelling my body and weight training in the gym.
